Dan Balan

Dan Balan is a moldavian artist, song writer and producer based in New York.

His biggest success to date was the pop band O-Zone. He was the front man of this project, producing and writing all of their compositions. The best-selling LP was "DiscOzone", which reached 1 in six countries and sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide (1 million in Japan alone).

Dan’s most successful song to date is "Dragostea din tei" (aka "Numa Numa song"),it reached 1 in 32 countries (and 3 in the U. K.), selling 12 million copies worldwide,and was the best selling single in Europe and Japan in 2004 and 2005, respectively.

The song was covered by over 200 artists worldwide in 14 different languages.

Dan’s song was also covered by T.I. and Rihanna (“Live your life”) last year which became a huge success in the US staying number 1 for 6 weeks on Billboard Hot 100.

Balan also had a couple of top 10 songs in European main Chart such as "Despre tine" and “ De ce plang chitarele”.

One of his new main projects is called Crazy Loop,after the name of his character that appears in this project.It’s about to be released officially all around the world this year.
