About The Life Between

THE LIFE BETWEEN

In a time when the pages of music magazines are rammed full of the same skinny-jean-wearing, dirty-hair and stubble-bearing, seemingly endless parade of cloned indie groups, it’s sometimes refreshing to hear a band which has more to do with the sweetness of a good bottle of red wine than the smell of stale beer.
Pop doesn’t have to be a dirty word, not when you’re working with great melodies, a wishful, warm voice, and a well-crafted song with depth and authenticity behind it.
The Life Between – four young session players whose shared love of a simple but great melody inspired them to work together – could easily be compared to Coldplay or Keane, but that would be too easy and too lazy. Listen closely and you’ll hear hints of the melodrama of Queen; the classically-oriented piano parts of Rufus Wainwright; or the pure-pop sensibilities of some of the great Scandanavian hit songwriting teams of the moment. Frontman Michael Zlanabitnig was born in Salzburg and grew up studying classical music, later composing music for national theatres and working as a musical director for national plays. The rest of the band are Hamburg boys, born in the cool town in the north where the Beatles made their first steps outside Liverpool. The waltz of Mozart’s hometown meets the beatnicks of Hamburg.
The Life Between’s songs are as tuneful as they are beautiful; as fresh as they are honest; and as well-crafted as any pop hit of recent times. The band is currently producing their debut album in the former EMI studios in Cologne/Germany, which will be finished soon!

Eine wirklich feine CD habt ihr mir da verkauft! Könnt ihr den Rest des Konzertes bitte auch "veröffentlichen. Wäre doch schade, wenn die ganzen bewegten Bilder im Regal verstauben würden.
