Sende dein kreatives, skurriles, aufwendiges, publikumswirksames, einzigartiges, imposantes, raffiniertes oder lustiges Foto zum Motto der neuen 30 Seconds to Mars Single "Closer to the Edge" (ab Freitag 30.7. überall als Download), was wortwörtlich soviel wie 'Näher am Abgrund' heißt, ein und gewinne eins von fünf besonderen Fanpaketen. Dein Bild kann Personen, Gegenstände oder auch Landschaften als Motiv zeigen, die nichts unmittelbar mit 30 Seconds to Mars zu tun haben, aber entweder bildlich oder wortwörtlich den Titel des Songs umsetzten. Wichtig ist das du dein Foto selbst aufgenommen hast bzw. alle Elemente des Bildes selbst gemacht sind und/oder dir gehören.
Jeder Teilnehmer kann maximal bis zu 5 (fünf) Fotos einreichen. Dabei zählt die Reihenfolge der ersten fünf eingereichten Bilder. Ein nachträgliches Austauschen von Fotos ist nicht möglich. Alle Einsendungen, die den vorgegebenen Kriterien entsprechen, werden wir unserer Flickr Gallery online stellen. Germany is such an amazing place. We have been here over 7 times on this trip alone, and it never seems to get old. Slowly but surely we are becoming a German band!
I took this quick snapshot from the balcony of the 1Live Radio station in Cologne Germany, and was very quickly reminded once again how amazing our family of friends and weirdos out there really is. We were doing an acoustic performance at the station on this day and all of these people came together and organized themselves to create this enormous triad! So cool looking from up high so I had to grab a shot.
Its nice to be surrounded by people who are just as strange as you are, thanks echelon! ;)

Concertwise the german fans are truly blessed this year. The band will be back for two more concert in June, playing Batschkapp club in Frankfurt on June 3rd AND 4th. 30 Seconds To Mars battle it out 'This Is War' Video At this point, Jared Leto is getting pretty used to conflict. He and his 30 Seconds to Mars bandmates battled their way through the making of their This Is War album, and they basically willed the first single, the epic "Kings and Queens," onto the rock radio charts.
So when it came time to shoot a video for the second single — the equally soaring title track from the album — well, they pretty much knew the direction they wanted to head. read on...
30 Seconds To Mars kämpfen sich aus im Video zu 'This Is War'
Die Band sprach kürzlich mit MTV.com über ihr, sich momentan noch in der Mache befindendes Video zur neusten Single vom gleichnahmigen Album "This is War", welches die Band als Soldaten in Kampfhandlungen zeigen wird. Inspiriert von den eigenen Konflikten (inzwischen beigelegte Klage der Plattenfirma EMI) in der Entstehungsphase des Albums, wollen sie nach "Kings and Queens" nun eine sehr reale, andere Seite von Konflikten zeigen.
Zusammen mit Regisseur Edouard Salier bemüht sich die Band darum in ihrem Video, das mit einigen Spezialeffekten aufwarten wird, einen Kurzfilm zu machen, der den militärischen Konflikt durch die Augen der Männer und Frauen zeigt, die ihn täglich erleben. Das ihr Video von Vielen ganz unterschiedlich interpretiert werden wird ist dabei durchaus erwünscht. Die Band hofft so ihren persönlichen Anstoß zu Debatten und Diskussionen geben zu können. Bomb scare at 30 Seconds To Mars event in L.A. - everyone safe!
30 Seconds to Mars had invited their fans to an exclusive 20min screening of footage from their new documentary called 'Artifact' at their marketing and promotion headquarters "The Hive" at 7714 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. Even the winners of the band's ebay auction to raise money for Haiti were present, when a young and confused man in a hoodie stormed into the venue with a large, wrapped box and dropped the package at Jared Leto's feet. He was dragged out by the frontman through the backdoor and the bomb squad was called.
No one got harmed and the content of the box turned out to be harmless. The pre-screening was rescheduled for tonight 7pm local time. "we are going to do the event tomorrow night. sorry to everyone who waited and didn't make it in. stay tuned for more info. sorry!"@thisisthehive
Bombendrohung bei 30 Seconds To Mars Event in L.A. - niemand wurde verletzt!
30 Seconds to Mars hatten ihre Fas zu einer exklusiven 20 minütigen Vorschau ihres kommenden Dokumentarfilms "Artifact" in das Hauptquartier ihres Promotion und Marketing Teams "The Hive" in 7714 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles eingeladen. Selbst die Gewinner der Bands ebay Auktion, mit der sie Geld für Haiti sammelten waren anwesend, als ein junger verwirrter Mann im Kapuzenpulli die Veranstaltung stürmte und ein großes Paket vor Jared Leto's Füße fallen ließ. Der Mann wurde von Jared durch die Hintertüre nach draußen gezogen und ein Sprengstoffkommando der Polizei gerufen.

Starting by visiting 1live for an interview on the summit in Germany, Bart Cubbins making an appearance again as the band's video director and playing showcase gigs in Europe as a warm up for a full tour in 2010. In einigen Städten wurden durch 30 Seconds to Mars Theme-Nights bekannt gegeben. Leider nicht bei uns.
Aus diesem Grund haben sich bereits über 200 Fans in anderen Foren Gedanken um eine eigene Theme Night in Leipzig gemacht. Nun steht der Beschluss und die Fans sorgen für ein eigenes kleines Highlight in Leipzig.
Was Ihr dazu benötigt? Eine kleine bunte Taschenlampe.. schaltet Sie zu Beginn des Songs ( Vox Populi ) für den kompletten Song an. Verschiedene Leuchtfarben sind erwünscht jedoch kein Muss.
Mit dem Management wurde sich in verbindung gesetzt und abgestimmt, dass wir die taschenlampen mit nehmen dürfen.
Lasst uns dafür sorgen, dass sie die Show in Leipzig nicht so schnell vergessen, teilt die Veranstaltung mit allen die in Leipzig dabei sind....

Diese haben doch tatsächlich unseren Hilferuf erhört und strahlen neben permanenter Werbung für die 30STM show am 16.06.2010 auch unseren Aufruf aus zum Song Vox Populi die Taschenlampen auszupacken.
