Die NIKOTEENS gründeten sich als Trio Mitte 1979. Im März 1981 wurden in Berlin die ersten Tonaufnahmen gemacht, welche für den "Soundtracks zum Untergang" Sampler gedacht waren. Der Produzent hatte jedoch ein Problem mit dem Song "Bomben über Russland", so dass die Bänder abgekauft wurden und die legändere erste EP in Eigenproduktion entstand. Man stockte auf einen 4. Mann auf und veröffentlichte 1983 die Hardcore-Meilenstein-LP "Aloah-Oehh". Das legendäre "Skateboard Tape" durchbrach dann 1984 die Geschwindigkeits-Schallmauer. Die 2. LP "Hardcore Holocaust" folgte 1986. Danach zerbrach die Band. Mit neuen Leuten machte der Drummer noch eine zeitlang als NIKOTEENS weiter. Diese Formation veröffentlichte dann noch den damaligen Underground-Hit "Leader of the Rotten Corpse" auf einem Single-Sampler. Ende der 80er wurde die Band dann in "SHOTGUN" umbenannt. 2002 wurden die NIKOTEENS in einem grossen Sauerstoff-Zelt von einen verrückten Wissenschaftler wiederbelebt. Seitdem spielten sie wieder als Trio diverse Gigs u.a. mit LURKERS, PARTISANS, OHL, RAZORS, ASTA KASK, BÖSLINGE usw. . Durch die äusserst positive Resonanz von alten sowie neuen Fans wurde die Band stark motiviert. Weihnachten 2007 ging man dann ins Studio um ein paar Songs des neuen Songmaterials aufzunehmen. Im Frühjahr wurde das ganze dann gemischt. Am 1.10.2008 erschien die neue 5-Song-Mini-LP in einer Kleinauflage von 300 maschinell-nummerierten Exemplaren.

the NIKOTEENS were formed in 1979. first recordings were made as a teenage-trio (all members were only 15/16 years old) in berlin, 1981. released as the legendary self-produced "the end" EP. only 500 copies were made!! in 1983 they released their hardcore-classic "aloah oehh" LP. the 2nd longplayer "hardcore holocaust" was following in 1986. "leader of the rotten corpse" was the last activity on the "brainattack" 7"-compilation. after that, the band split up in the late 80s. in 2002 the NIKOTEENS were revitalized during a dangerous nuclear experience. they played a lot of gigs in the last years. together with LURKERS, PARTISANS, OHL, RAZORS, ASTA KASK, BÖSLINGE etc. - in december 2007 the band decided to record some new tracks. this 5 songs were released in october 2008 as a 12"-mini-album. only 300 numbered copies were pressed.
