Heute noch gibt es Musikfans, die auf Rockkonzerten in frenetischen Jubel ausbrechen, wenn a) mehr als ein Gitarrist auf der Bühne steht, und geradezu multiple Höhepunkte durchleben, wenn b) die Melodien dazu noch mehrstimmig gespielt werden. THIN LIZZY war für den inflationären Einsatz gerade dieses Stilmittels legendär. Gitarrenhexer wie Eric Bell, Brian Robertson, Gary Moore, John Sykes, Scott Gorham und Snowy White gaben sich bei THIN LIZZY das Plektrum in die Hand. Sie alle begründeten, neben Phil Lynott natürlich, LIZZYs Ruf als einer der besten und intensivsten Live-Acts.

It all started as bassist Ralf “Jogi” Ruhenstroth (member of the German Rock e.V.) placed an advert on a music board… In the 80s Jogi played with the successful band ANAXAGORAS from East-Westpfahlen, which offered progressive music mixed with classical rock in the style of bands such as PINK FLOYD, ELOY and SANTANA. After a long break he decided to rejuvenate one of his oldest passions – and found kindred enthusiasts. On drums sits Marcell „Nixi“ Nix (Ex-ROCK SPIRITS) at just 18 years old, one of the most talented drummers in the Rhein-Main area. Thomas Hennen (Ex-TIME MACHINE) together with his brother Benny Hennen (Ex-TIME MACHINE) sovereignly bestow many of the typical twin guitar sounds anchored and celebrated in the music of THIN LIZZY. The line-up was completed with Markus Laux whose distinctive raucous rock voice covers a wide range of both hard and soft songs.
The quintet collectively decided to honour the music from PHIL LYNOTT and his band THIN LIZZY and since then has been working assiduously and meticulously on the original music and the modern sound of this great Irish band.
At the end of November 2008 ROSALIE finished their first self-produced CD demo in the legendary DownTown Studios in Munich. For the mixing they employed no less than the nationally successful and recognised sound engineer Jochen Scheffter (CENTRAL PARK). At the beginning of the coming year 2010 the band will undertake the filming of their new promotional DVD under the direction of a professional film maker in Bad Kreuznach. Indeed, a lot of work for a collective hobby, in which fun, team spirit and friendship are placed first and foremost.
A true tribute to the great rock music of the unforgettable PHIL LYNOTT and a fantastic band! A special thank you goes to Sir Anthony Visconti for supplying us with original and nostalgic pictures!

ROSALIE (damit ist nicht die harmonische, melodische Phrase aus der Notenschrift gemeint, sondern eine alte BOB SEGER-Nummer, die von der irischen Hard Rock-Band THIN LIZZY auf wunderbare Art und Weise gerockt wurde) gründete sich zu Beginn des Jahres 2008. 5 Szene-Musikern aus dem Raum Bad Kreuznach sind eine THIN LIZZY-Tribute-Band, in derer Mittelpunkt das Schaffen und das musikalische Vermächtnis des unvergessenen PHILIP PARRIS LYNOTT steht. LYNOTT war ein Vagabund, der im Laufe seiner kurzen, heftigen und erfolgreichen Karriere über den Folk und dem Rhythm & Blues THIN LIZZY zu einer der besten und anerkanntesten Hard Rock-Formationen der 70er- und frühen 80er-Jahre formte und voran trieb. PHIL LYNOTT verstarb am 04. Januar 1986 im Alter von nur 36 Jahren! R.I.P.!
Jogi DownTown Studio 2008
Zu Beginn schaltete Bassist Ralf “Jogi” Ruhenstroth (Mitglied in der German Rock e.V.) eine Annonce am schwarzen Brett bei einem großen Musikversandhandel. Jogi spielte in den 80er-Jahren bei der ostwestfälischen Band ANAXAGORAS, die progressive Musik mit klassischem Rock in Anlehnung an große Bands wie PINK FLOYD, ELOY und SANTANA dar bot. Nach langer Pause entschloss er sich dazu, seine alte Leidenschaft noch mal aufleben zu lassen. Und es fanden sich Gleichgesinnte. Mit Marcell "Nixi“ Nix (Ex-ROCK SPIRITS) sitzt bei ROSALIE im Alter von erst 18 Jahren ein "großes" Talent aus dem großen Rhein-Main-Gebiet an den Drums. Thomas Hennen (Ex-TIME MACHINE) kam nach Bad Kreuznach und erzeugt bei ROSALIE rockige sowie einfühlsame Töne. Zusammen mit seinem Bruder Benny Hennen (Ex-TIME MACHINE) werden die vielen typischen Twin-Guitars in der Musik von THIN LIZZY aufgearbeitet. Mit Markus Laux, mit einprägsamer aber auch einfühlsamer Stimme, wurde das Line-up vervollständigt.
Dieses Quintett hat sich gemeinsam dazu entschieden, der Musik von PHIL LYNOTT und seiner Band THIN LIZZY zu huldigen und arbeitet seitdem emsig und akribisch am originalen, aber modernen Sound dieser großen irischen Band.
Ende November 2008 haben ROSALIE in den legendären Münchener "DownTowns" ihre Studio-Arbeiten für ein erstes, selbst produziertes Demo beendet. Für den Mix zeichnet kein Geringerer als der national erfolgreiche und anerkannte Toningenieur Jochen Scheffter (CENTRAL PARK) verantwortlich. Zu Beginn des kommenden Jahres 2010 wird die Band unter Federführung eines bekannten Filmregisseurs in Bad Kreuznach Live-DVD-Aufnahmen fertig stellen. Viel Arbeit für ein gemeinsames Hobby, in dem der Spaß, der Spirit, Teamgeist und die Freundschaft an erster Stelle stehen.

I Recorded it Tuesday July 20, 2010 in the Studio. Then Had it Copywritten and Registered with BMI Music.

Hi ROSALIE, Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others.
This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace!
