Hardcore rooted Thrash Metal The story of Sullen Eyes Sore begins in the year 2004. The crucial experience for the musical development, which the band characterizes as „New Wave Of German Metal“, happend during a collective visit at the Hardbowl on the WFF in the same year. So no wonder Sullen Eyes Sore do not want to deny their big affinity for Hardcore, but nevertheless feel connected to the Thrash Metal as well. In the following years Sullen Eyes Sore drew attention on them by playing shows with several bands like Neaera, Maroon, August Burns Red, Born From Pain, Caliban and released their first recordings through an indi-label, which was respected in the scene. After all, they even cought the attention of the British Film Production Company „Pinball Films Ltd“ and so Sullen Eyes Sore eternalized with a live performance in the starting sequence of the movie „The Other Possibility“. The sound of the band is signed by the typical screamvocals, metal riffing and of course, for the hardcore roots, the moshparts which are carried by the doublebass attacks. Thereby the band doesn´t want to invent new music, but sets the standard to merge in their songs. Their music is made on instinct with critical but also positive lyrics. In the summer of 2008 the production of the debut full lenght album started and was finished after months of hard work in the Rockfeld Studio in Trebbin. In the end the album was masterd by Alexander Dietz (HSB). With DarkestHourMusic they found a partner who put the records in the market via Twilight-Distribution. „Warriors Like Us“ is not only a high glossy production, but an honest, sweat smelling piece of music afflicted with rough edges from a congenial an support worthy quintet, who you don´t miss out perfoming live on stage.
