Information: Do you remember PLACEBO EFFECT? No? The classics Move and Slashed Open should be in your memory and connect you to this Electronics-cult formation. In 1998 the time came for lead man Axel , where he was not able to realize his musical visions anymore. This was the reason for founding a new band.
BREATHE was born!
Together with three like-minded people he then put his unique musical and visual concept into reality. So far BREATHE caused some sensation through impressive live-performance. Like hardly any other band BREATHE is able again and again to transfer the unique atmosphere of its songs to the audience through an unusual stage design and a fantastic live show.
The coming BREATHE album The laughing dolls, produced by Guido Le Fric (La Floa Maldita), must be considered as perfect fusion of the hard Placebo Effect sounds with dark and smooth elements. This development is the logical consequence from Axels musical past and stands for the great artistic spectrum, which BREATHE covers with its album.
Besides the three hit-suspicious dance-tracks So Far, Tenebre and Deadline it is mostly the atmospheric and ballad-like songs like The laughing dolls and Which Can Never Hurt Me, which stand out clearly against the swamp of the other scene-publications and present pure melancholy through its incomparable atmosphere. But even this high musical level BREATHE can beat with The Laughing Dolls. The two instrumental tracks Tales and Dawn with its dark, soundtrack-like robe are the absolute highlights of the album. The Laughing Dolls is without doubts one of the most varied and complex Electro publications of the last years.
After a few private changes within the band (Meanwhile Breathe has to record in three studios within Germany) and a long creative break of almost 3 years the band works on its new album high and dry. It will be a mix of the well known spherical creepy songs and ,this time, far better harder electronically tracks.
